Top 5 Ways To Get Banned From The Chat Room!

The chat room is a place for everyone to enjoy and have fun, however, if you do not follow the rules (specifically #1, #2, #3, #5-8) you will get banned.

You will get *only* 1 (one) warning, second occurrence you will be banned up to 24 hrs from the chat room.

Here at Hairlista, we ask that EVERYONE be a chat room monitor (more eyes the better!). If you notice any behaviour that violates the rules, quote the person (what they said and record their user name/profile URL) and forward that information over to the Site Moderators ASAP.

Here are the Top 5 Ways to get banned from the Hairlista Chat Room:

1. Spamming and Advertising
   
2. Using foul language.
3. Repeatedly taking control of the room by flooding it with your own entries/convo.
4. Consistently using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in a chat room. This is considered yelling and is rude.
5. Posting links/comments that abuse, attack, disrespect, embarrass, or threaten anyone else in the chat room or on Hairlista. If you do not agree with a chatter, express your opinion in a respectful manner.

Remember, if you witness anyone violating these rules, please Contact one of the Mods immediately with details (i.e. user name, profile URL, brief description of what took place).

To avoid getting banned, please familiarize yourself with the Rules of Behaviour.

Here at Hairlista, we take pride in making sure our members are in a safe and positive environment. We strive to enforce the rules when appropriate, in hopes that others will abide by them and as a result understand the environment we are trying to establish and maintain.

For those who do not know the rules, please take the time to review the reasons why one would get banned and how to prevent yourself from falling into a situation where you may get banned.

Here are the Top 5 Ways to get banned from Hairlista:

1. Flaming: Do not post any messages/comments/posts that harass, insult, belittle, threaten, name-calling or flame another member. No foul language.
   


2. Trolling: Do not come to this site with the purpose of starting a dispute or a drama-provoking thread/message/comment. Note that a person disagreeing with your opinion is NOT trolling.


3. Spamming: Please do not double post or cross-post the same message in multiple forums, blogs, chat or private messages.
   


4. Offensive Posts, Links or Images: Do not post profanity, racial, ethnic, religious, or other slurs, etc. Posting any nudity, abusive, sexual, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, or any other material will not be tolerated. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned.
   


5. Advertising: Posting (via forum, messages, blogs etc.) of advertisements (directly or indirectly) for products or services is not allowed.
